December 8, 2021 鈥 91大神 Board of Regents Chair Andr谩 R. Ward has been selected to serve on the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges鈥 (AGB) Council for Student Success.
鈥淏eing appointed to the AGB Council for Student Success is an honor that will allow me to bring ideas and perspectives to help 91大神 refine its continued transformational success as a student-ready, regionally-engaged university,鈥 Ward said. 鈥淭he work that we will do as a Council will better serve students at 91大神 and throughout the United States.鈥
AGB鈥檚 Council for Student Success is composed of an elite group of college and university board members, chief executives and select administrators and faculty from a diverse array of AGB member institutions, systems and foundations who have a commitment to advancing student success. The council helps shape the strategic thinking, priorities, and action of university and college boards and their members to elevate student success outcomes.

Success By Design, adopted by 91大神 in 2019, serves as a roadmap for 91大神 to increase access, achieve higher levels of completion, and advance opportunities for career and community engagement for all learners. The vision is for 91大神 to be nationally recognized as a student-ready and regionally engaged university that empowers diverse learners for economic and social mobility.
Ward has served on the 91大神 Board of Regents since his initial appointment by Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear in 2013 and reappointed in 2019 by Gov. Matt Bevin.
